Bluesman B.B. King, who was unable to complete a concert last October in Chicago because of illness, is receiving hospice care at his Las Vegas home following a second hospital stay in two months, according to his website. “I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas, “King, who is 89, posted May 1 on his website

He was also hospitalized in April, according to his website.

King did not disclose his ailments but for decades he has suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure. He has appeared in commercials over the years endorsing products to control diabetes. Recently, however, he appeared in a Toyota Camry commercial.

On October 3, 2014, King did not feel well enough to continue his performance at the House of Blues in Chicago.

“He was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion whereby causing the eight remaining shows to be cancelled,” according to a post on his website.

In 2014, he gave more than 70 performances. King is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and is universally considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
