Police arrest man for the murder of Baton Rouge museum founder

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police on Tuesday arrested Ron Jermaine Bell, 38, and charged him with the murder of museum founder Sadie Roberts-Joseph, whose body was found in the trunk of her car.

Bell was a tenant of Joseph’s, and he was behind $1,200 on his rent. Her death was caused by traumatic asphyxiation with mouth and nose blocked.

In 2001, Roberts-Joseph, 75,  founded the Odell S. Williams Now & Then Museum, now named the Baton Rouge Museum of African American History. She also hosted the city’s Juneteenth Festival
