Black Cultural Archives

The British government donated  £200,000 or $257,277 in short-term funding to the Black Cultural Archives, which documents the history of African and Caribbean people in England. The money was funded by the Borough of Lambeth, which is in South London.

Paul Reid, BCA’s executive director, said the money will provide long-term sustainability for the organization. BCA also announced that it would begin charging adults £3 or $3.85 for admission to exhibits in the main hall.

London-based BCA was founded in 1981.
