Los Angeles Police are asking the public’s help in locating and arresting Eric Holder who is suspected of murdering Grammy-nominated rapper and community activist Nipsey Hussle and the wounding of two other men.
The outreach worked. Later today, the LAPD announced on twitter that Holder was in custody. The department posted a photo of Holder with red block letters written over his face that read “In Custody.”
Hussle, whose birth name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was shot multiple times in the head and torso outside his clothing store around 4 p.m. Sunday. His store is located along Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles. He died later in a local hospital.
The two other gunshot victims are expected to survive.
Holder escaped by jumping into a waiting car driven by an unidentified woman.
Hussle reportedly was scheduled to talk with the LAPD about the surge in gang violence in which ten people have been murdered, and 26 people have been shot in the same week. Seattle has scheduled a candlelight vigil for Hussle on Sunday.
Later, police said Hussle may have been involved in a personal dispute with his killer.
