Superstar singers Rihanna and Pink have turned down an offer to sing during next year’s Super Bowl half time show to support for former National Football League quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick began taking a knee during the National Anthem to protest police brutality. Rolling Stone magazine reported Pink and Rihanna have refused to appear during Super Bowl LIII.
Pink told an interviewer she would probably take a knee during the half-time show, which would prompt NFL personnel to carry her off the field.
Actress and comedian Amy Schummer recently turned down commercial offers from the NFL to support Kaepernick, who has not been signed by an NFL team since 2017 when he first began his protest.
