Black jobless rate was 6.0 percent in September; Overall unemployment was 3.7 percent

September’s unemployment rate for black men and black women was 6.0 percent as the nation’s nonfarm businesses added 134,000 jobs overall and the unemployment rate dropped to  3.7 percent, the lowest since 1969.
