He dedicates his victory to Muhammad Ali
Reigning Formula I champion Lewis Hamilton should sing “O Canada,” the country’s national anthem, five times after winning Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix.
It was the fifth time Hamilton has won the Canadian Prix, which is raced on Montreal’s Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.
Hamilton, who drives for Mercedes, defeated Sebastian Vettel, who drives for Ferrari. Valtteri Bottas, who drives for Williams Racing, finished third.
It was Hamilton’s second consecutive win this year. He stood at the top of podium after winning in Monaco on May 29.
Hamilton earned 25 points for the win in Canada. He now has 107 points to Nico Rosberg’s 116. Rosberg, who also drives for Mercedes, is this year’s point’s leader so far.
After the race, Hamilton dedicated his victory to the late Muhammad Ali.
