President Trump called his predecessor “grossly incompetent” after former President Barack Obama bashed the administration’s handling of the coronavirus in which more than 90,338 men, women and children in the U.S. have died out of more than 1.5 million confirmed cases.
During a virtual speech on Saturday, Obama told graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, “This pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing.”
Obama made those comments after he told former members of his staff, the administration’s coronavirus response is “an absolute chaotic disaster.”
A reporter asked Trump about Obama’s comments. “Look, he was an incompetent presidents. That’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent.”
Trump has a history of blaming Obama for his administration’s failings.
