Five people were shot at Morgan State University
A gunman shot five people at Morgan State University in Baltimore as students were headed to a homecoming week campus ball. Morgan State Police Chief Lance Hatcher confirmed that four of the victims were students.
No one was killed.
Police released no information regarding suspects and said they did not know how many shooters were involved in the October 4 incident.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the four men and one woman shot were between the ages of 18 and 22.
He told reporters at a news conference early Wednesday that their injuries were not life-threatening.
University president David Wilson announced Wednesday that the game Saturday against Stony Brook and all other homecoming events and classes for the remainder of the week were canceled due to “the most unfortunate of events that occurred on our campus.”
Baltimore Police Department released surveillance video of persons of interest sought for questioning in the shooting.
Morgan State University is a historically Black college.
