Six men have now been arrested in Alabama for four murders
Police initially arrested two teenage brothers and charged them with killing four people at a Sweet Sixteen Party in Dadeville, Alabama. Four other young men have subsequently been arrested and charged in the mass shootings well.
The two initially arrested are Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough,16. The two boys will be tried as adults. Both of the young men are from Tuskegee, Alabama.
Willie George Brown Jr., 19, was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of reckless murder, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said. Earlier Thursday, Johnny Letron Brown, 20, of Tuskegee, was arrested and also charged with four counts of reckless murder, the agency said. And recently, a 15-year-old boy from Tuskegee also was arrested.
The six men are accused of killing four people on Saturday in Dadeville, which is 30 miles from Tuskegee. Those slain are Philstavious “Phil†Dowdell, 18, Shaunkivia Nicole “KeKe†Smith, 17, Marsiah Emmanuel “Siah Collins, 19, and Corbin Dehmontery Holston, 23.
The Sweet Sixteen party was given for Dowell’s sister; he died in her arms after being shot.
The birthday party was held for Alexis Dowdell in the town square. A witness said a mother paused the party to ask people with guns to leave.
Thirty-two people were wounded and four are in critical condition.
