Former leader of the Proud Boys sentenced to 22 years in prison.

A judge sentenced Enrique Tarrio, the former national chairman of the Proud Boys, a far-right neo-fascist organization, to 22 years in prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Tarrio was one of six Proud Boys leaders charged with conspiring to stop the 2020 certification of presidential election results in Congress. Of them, he has received the longest prison sentence to date.
