Bridgeman reportedly buys a share of The Milwaukee Bucks


It is a homecoming of sorts for Junior Bridgeman.
Ulysses Lee, “Junior,” Bridgeman, who owns Ebony and Jet magazines and many other properties, has agreed to purchase a piece of the Milwaukee Bucks, a team for which he played for 10 years and had his number retired.
Bridgeman is buying a 10% stake in his former team, now valued at $4 billion.n valuation).
He is the President and CEO of Bridgeman Foods Inc., which owns Ebony and Jet magazines. John H. Johnson founded Jet in 1951 and Ebony in 1945. Bridgeman purchased the publications in December 2020 for $14 million.
His company owns and operates over 160 Wendy’s restaurant franchises across the country, making him the second largest owner of Wendy’s franchises in the world. 
He also owns over 118 Chili’s restaurants. He has over 11,000 employees and revenues of over $500 million. He is ranked #3 on the Restaurant Finance Monitor’s Top 200 franchisee-owned companies. 
Bridgeman had a very successful career as a professional basketball player. After playing for the University of Louisville, he spent 12 years playing in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks. 
In 1975, he was traded to Milwaukee for Karreen Abul- Jabbar, who was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers.
