South African leads delegation to end the war between Russian and Ukraine

South Africa and other countries on the African continent have put together a proposal to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, according to Aljazeera.

“This war has to end because it is having a negative impact on the African continent and other countries around the world,” Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, president of South Africa, told Russian Vladimir Putin. ”It must be settled with negotiations.”

The continent is affected by a food crisis and Putin claims it’s caused by Western countries not what Russia calls a ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine.

Leaders from other countries, including Egypt, the Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Zambia, Uganda, and Comoros were members of the delegation. Comoros is an independent country based in Southeastern Africa.

The groups also met with Ukraine President Volodymr Zelensky, who said Russia must withdraw troops from occupied Ukrainian territory.
