The late Congressman John Lewis gets a stamp of perfection

The U.S. Postal Service recently honored the late Congressman John Lewis and a civil rights icon by issuing a Forever Stamp in his honor. 

The John Lewis Commemorative Stamp will sell for 66 cents. The stamp was unveiled at Morehouse College in Atlanta.  Congressmen Lewis died on July 17, 2020, of stage four pancreatic cancer.

A member of the Democratic Party, Lewis was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1986 and served 17 terms. The district he represented included most of Atlanta.
