Randy Moss has been treated for cancer

Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss recently announced that he has undergone surgery for cancer.

He explained his condition on Instagram Live on Friday, saying that he had been in the hospital for six days and was released Friday.

“I am a cancer survivor. Some trying times, of course, but, you know, we made it through. And for that I thank you all,” he said.

The 47-year-old Moss played 14 seasons in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ners.

He retired in 2012 and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2018.

Randy Moss took a medical leave of absence from ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown,” where he has been an analyst since 2016.
